Bedsure Heated Mattress Pad Queen Review

A second queen mattress pad with the same under-you heat and dual controllers as our Sunbeam pick, plus a one-touch preheat and a memory function that restores your last setting — from a brand already in this guide for its heated throw.

Bedsure Heated Mattress Pad Queen

The verdict

Bedsure's mattress pad covers the same ground as our Best Overall Sunbeam Restful Quilted pad — heat from below instead of a blanket on top, dual controllers, auto shut-off — and adds two conveniences the Sunbeam doesn't have: a one-touch preheat that warms the bed fast before you get in, and a memory function that restores whatever level you used last time instead of starting from zero. It has two fewer heat settings than the Sunbeam (10 vs. 12) and a much shorter track record, but it's a legitimate second mattress-pad option at a similar price, especially for anyone who already owns Bedsure's heated throw and likes the brand's controls.

What we like

  • +One-touch preheat warms the bed fast, then settles to your chosen level
  • +Memory function restores your last-used heat setting automatically
  • +10 heat settings and a 12-hour auto shut-off; dual controllers for even heat on both sides
  • +ETL and FCC certified controller; Bedsure cites in-house safety testing beyond UL minimums
  • +Machine washable quilted top, same under-the-sheet comfort as any mattress pad

What to know

  • −Two fewer heat settings than the Sunbeam Restful Quilted (10 vs. 12)
  • −Newer to market with a much thinner independent review history than the long-running Sunbeam
  • −Bedsure's heated-blanket/pad line was the subject of a 2023 CPSC recall (models BS-HP2422, BS-HP1224, BS-HP2433) — different products from this mattress pad, but worth knowing the brand's history
  • −Controllers are basic backlit dials, not app-connected

Full review

A heated mattress pad is still the most efficient way to warm a bed — heat rises through the mattress into you instead of escaping upward the way a blanket's does — and Bedsure's queen pad does that job the same way the Sunbeam Restful Quilted does: a quilted top with thin wires you don't feel through a fitted sheet, dual controllers so each side of the bed can run its own setting, and an auto shut-off so falling asleep on a higher setting isn't a worry. The heated-bedding category until now has been entirely Sunbeam and Beautyrest for mattress pads and blankets respectively; this is the first second mattress pad in the guide, and the first from a brand we'd previously only carried for its heated throw.

The two features that set it apart from the Sunbeam are both about convenience rather than raw heat: a one-touch preheat button runs the pad at full power for a few minutes so the bed is warm the moment you climb in, and a memory function remembers whatever level you used last time, so you're not re-dialing from zero every night. Ten heat settings is two fewer than the Sunbeam's twelve, which in practice just means slightly coarser steps between 'barely on' and 'cozy' — most people won't notice the difference. The controller is ETL and FCC certified, and Bedsure says it runs its electric bedding through in-house testing beyond the UL minimum, though that claim is the manufacturer's own.

Worth noting plainly: Bedsure's heated-blanket and heating-pad line was recalled by the CPSC in 2023 for a controller fire and burn hazard, covering models BS-HP2422, BS-HP1224, and BS-HP2433 — none of which is this mattress pad or share its model number. The brand's heated throw already in this catalog was checked against a separate 2023 recall notice in an earlier scan and also didn't match. Given two prior recalls on this brand's electric bedding, we'd treat any individual Bedsure heated product on its own documented merits rather than assume brand-wide safety, and this mattress pad's ETL/FCC certification and distinct model number are the reasons it's listed here. For most people the proven Sunbeam remains the simpler first choice; this is the pick if the preheat button and memory function are worth the trade-offs to you.

Best for: Couples who want a second mattress-pad option with a preheat button and a memory function, especially households that already use Bedsure's heated throw.
